Secondary (Ages 11-16)
A Journey of Growth
Secondary school is a time of discovery, independence, and preparation for the future. At Escola Global, our Secondary programme (Years 7–11) combines strong academics with modern learning methods, outdoor experiences, and personal development, ensuring students are ready for success in IGCSEs and beyond.
In Years 7–9 (Key Stage 3), students build on their Primary foundations with a broad and engaging curriculum. They develop deeper knowledge across subjects while continuing to learn through projects and experiences that connect ideas to the real world.
By Years 10–11 (Key Stage 4), students move into a more focused programme, preparing for their Cambridge IGCSEs with both required and elective subjects. With small class sizes and close guidance, each student follows a path tailored to their strengths and ambitions.

Strong Curriculum, Proven Results
Our Secondary curriculum includes:
-
English Language & Literature
-
Mathematics
-
Double or Triple Science
-
Spanish
-
Humanities (History, Geography, Social Studies)
-
Creative Arts (Art, Music, Drama)
-
Technology, Computing, and Physical Education
IGCSE subject choices are personalised to both student interests and teacher expertise, ensuring every course is taught with passion and every student is motivated by subjects that inspire them.
Our results consistently exceed international averages. In the most recent IGCSEs, 88% of all grades were A–C*, with 100% pass rates in English, Science, and Languages.

Project-Based Learning & Real-World Connection
Even as academic rigour increases, learning remains meaningful and as active as possible. Through Project-Based Learning, students debate ethical issues, design eco-projects, and carry out independent research. These experiences encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving — skills that universities and employers value highly.

Personal Development & Life Skills
Secondary education is also about preparing for adulthood. Students are supported to grow in independence, resilience, and leadership. Programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and opportunities for international projects help them challenge themselves, work as a team, and discover their strengths.

Preparing for What Comes Next
By the end of Year 11, students are confident learners with excellent qualifications and strong personal skills. They are ready to move into our new Sixth Form or other post-16 pathways, equipped with both academic results and the independence to take their next steps.
