Primary (Ages 5-11)

Building on Early Foundations

The Primary years are a time of growth, curiosity, and confidence. At Escola Global, our Primary programme (Years 1–6) builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and core subjects, while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning that lasts.

In Primary, children move from learning through play to developing more structured skills and knowledge. With small classes and personalised attention, teachers guide each child’s progress carefully, ensuring they feel supported, challenged, and motivated to reach their potential.

Strong Curriculum

We follow the British National Curriculum, enriched with Spanish language, to provide a broad and internationally recognised education.

Core areas include:

  • English Language & Literature

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Spanish Language

  • Humanities & Social Studies

  • Art, Music, and Physical Education

Lessons are brought to life through Project-Based Learning (PBL), giving children the chance to apply knowledge in creative and practical ways.

Learning by Doing

Learning in Primary isn’t just about books and tests, it’s about exploration. Students work on cross-curricular projects that link subjects together, helping them see the bigger picture. Whether it’s designing experiments, presenting research, or creating artistic responses, children learn to think critically, problem-solve, and express themselves with confidence.

Connected to the Outdoors

Outdoor learning is woven into the Primary programme. Children might take science lessons in the garden, learn maths through real-world activities, or explore local ecosystems to understand environmental topics. These experiences make learning meaningful, active, and memorable.

Developing Independence and Life Skills

The Primary years are also about learning how to learn. Students are encouraged to:

  • Take responsibility for their work.

  • Work together as a team.

  • Build resilience when faced with challenges.

  • Celebrate successes, both big and small.

This balance of academic focus and personal growth prepares them to transition smoothly into Secondary school with confidence.

It all starts here!
